'Molesting tailor' jailed 6 months, to be deported

A Ras Al Khaimah court of appeals sentenced an Asian women’s tailor to six months in prison and ordered his deportation from the UAE after he was found guilty of molesting a customer, the press reported on Friday.

The Asian woman had told court that the tailor was taking her measures for a dress when he suddenly tried to kiss her by force.

The tailor denied the accusations but a court of first instance convicted him and issued that sentence, which was upheld by the appeals court.
