Mom, son killed after car hits camel in Sharjah

An Iraqi woman and her 22-year-old died after their car collided with a camel before veering off the road and hitting a power pole in Sharjah emirate, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The man was driving his car on Maliha Road near the eastern town of Dhaid on Wednesday when he came face to face with a stray camel.

“The car then shot off the road and rammed into a power pole…the woman was killed on the spot while the son was rushed to hospital where he died later,” the Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said.
