A Pakistani driver allegedly had been raping over a period of two years his neighbour's daughter and son who used to play in his house and, in the last attempt, called their father to ask the children to come to his flat as they did not open the door for him, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
TK, 32, Pakistani manager, father of SK, 9-year old girl, and MK, 5-year-old boy, received a phone call at around noon on February 1 from his neighbour SG, 36, asking him to call his house and ask his children to go to his flat.
“My mother who was in a visit to the country answered the phone and told me that they heard the door’s bell but did not to open the door to our neighbour. She told me that she knew from my daughter that he used to molest her. He used to ask my two sons to play in the hall while he accompanied my daughter to the bed room where he used to undress and molest her.
"I rushed home and my daughter was scared and trembling when she told me that he used to remove his and her clothes and lie on her. She did not tell me what exactly he did to her and she said she did not inform us because he had warned her not to tell anyone,” the father told the police.
TK had moved with his family from Sharjah and lived in the International City since 2010. His wife and the accused 's family used to get together and his children used to spend time at the neighbour’s house after finishing their school at around 3pm as the latter did not have children.
The mother, who is a house wife, knew the family more than the father who spent the whole day at work. She used to send her children to their nieghbour’s flat on the request of their neighbour who did not have children. Sometimes they used to go with the wife of the accused to the supermarket and help her in carrying things
However, one day, his five year old son told the father that the neighbour had removed his trousers and put his hand on his private part many times.
“I asked my wife to tell the neighbour not to do that with my son again,” said the father.
The little girl told the police that the accused used to sodomise her while her two brothers were playing in the hall and his wife was outside.
Police arrested SG who initially denied the accusation but later confessed, claiming that he had only molested the girl twice and did not sodomise her.
The Prosecution accused SG with raping the girl and her brother which he denied when he appeared before the court, saying that his confession was pbtained under duress.
The Court will reconvene on March 30.
