Passenger gets Dh250,000 for injuries in Abu Dhabi bus crash
Abu Dhabi’s judicial authorities sided with a bus passenger and ordered an insurance firm to pay him Dh250,000 damages for injuries he sustained in a bus accident.
The man suffered from serious injuries after the bus was involved in an accident in the capital following a tyre blast on the road.
A Court of First Instance ordered the firm to pay Dh250,000 damages to the man but the company decided to appeal the verdict.
A Court of Appeals again ordered the company to pay the compensation, prompting the firm to appeal again with the Court of Cassation, who upheld that verdict.
