Police bust child porn racket in Sharjah; arrest Asian

Sharjah Police arrested an Indian national for allegedly promoting child pornography.

According to police spokesperson, the suspect was using peer-topeer (P2P) software to circulate pornographic material.

The CID Team of Sharjah Police set into acrtion following several complaints.

Investigations led officials them to a building in Muweilleh area. Upon confirming their doubts, the officials sough legal permission and raided his residence.

His computer has been seized. Police has discovered proof of his illegal acitivites. He allegedly exploited kids into indulging in pervert acts.

He has reportedly confessed to the crime and has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Police have called on residents to alert officials when they come across such immoral people of activities.
