Porter molests lone woman during house shifting

A jobless Pakistani allegedly sexually molested a woman when she was alone while shifting her household stuff to another accommodation, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim RA, 43, a tourist guide, was shifting to a new flat on October 1 and she had assigned a pickup driver to move her stuff to her new accommodation in Al Muteena area for Dh250.

“The driver came along with two other porters. They picked up my stuff and I rode with them to the new accommodation. The three unloaded the stuff and put it in my room. The driver picked up the last piece of stuff to put it in the room… but he told me that there is a problem because the room is very small… then he put his hand on my arm and groped my private parts. When I shouted at him, he ran away. I rushed after him and also told the people in the villa about what he had done and notified the police,” she told investigators.

Police arrested TM, 35, who admitted committing the crime and the victim recognized him when shown to her during identification parade.

The court will give verdict on December 19.
