The federal supreme court (FSC) sided with a sacked civil servant against a government department and supported his bid to seek damages for the department’s decision and its false accusations of take bribe, press reports said on Monday.

The FSC overturned a sentence by an appeals court to reject the employer’s case and said it would consider his case to seek Dhthree million damages and restore his job at the department.

A court of first instance had supported the employer’s bid to restore his job, prompting the employers to appeal and cancel that verdict. He then appealed with the FSC which said he has the right to regain his job as an expert at the department and seek damages for the false accusations of taking bribe after he was acquitted by court.

Newspapers did not say when the FSC would begin hearings nor did they identify the employer or the department.
