Salesman molests customer in shop, jailed

An Indian salesman received six-month jail followed by deportation by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance for molesting a customer when she approached cashier to pay for her purchases.

According to the court records, the incident happened on November 3 when FA, 18, Saudi visitor, went to Naif Souq for shopping.

“I picked up stuff from the shop and went to cashier to pay. While I was making payment, I was shocked because the salesman touched me inappropriately. I shouted at him and pushed his hand away,” the victim told prosecutors.

She informed police which arrested SM, 41, and also took CCTV footage from the shop which showed the accused molesting the victim and pushing him away.

The accused admitted to groping the woman.
