Salesman molests schoolgirl in grocery

An Indian salesman allegedly molested 12-year-old Filipina student while she was buying juice from his grocery opposite to her school, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
 
On November 30 at around 3pm, DF, was with her sister waiting for their mother to pick them up from the school.
 
“We went to the grocery in front of the school to buy juice while waiting for our mother. My sister stood at the door looking at the street while I stepped towards the fridge in a narrow passage between shelves to pick up the juice. After taking the juice I went to the salesman to pay,” she testified.
 
“All of a sudden, he touched me inappropriately and said there is no need to pay for the juice. I left the juice on the desk and rushed out from the grocery. I told my sister what happened in and she advised me not to tell anyone,” said the victim.
 
As the mother could not come and pick them up from the school, the two girls with their brother returned home using the Metro.
 
At home, the girl told her father who lodged a complaint with the police.
 
The court will give its verdict on February 15.
