Sharjah cops bust serial villa burglar

The Sharjah Police have arrested an Emirati national, AA, for robbing several villas in the emirate.

The police had lately been receiving a number of burglary complaints from owners of villas in different areas.

Stolen items from homes included mobile phones, personal laptops, jewellery and watches.

An investigation team was formed and the suspect was arrested.

According to an official at the CID department, “The suspect confessed to robbing various villas across the emirate.”

The house of the suspect was raided and a number of stolen items were found hidden.

The suspect is currently being detained and will be referred to the public prosecution.

Sharjah Police is urging villa owners to avoid leaving their villa gates unlocked and to keep gold, money and other precious belongings in lockers.
