Sharjah crackdown on gamblers, beggars

The Department of Criminal Investigation of the Sharjah Police have arrested ten people, two citizens of Pakistan and the others citizens of Bangladesh for various crimes, including gambling.

The men arrested are also accused of crimes including illegal street vending, begging, and violating the residency laws.

Abdul Razak Assad, Chief of CID, has referred the cases to the competent authorities.

Sharjah Police has urged the resident of Sharjah to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities and has asked people not to deal with such offenders in any way so as not to be subjected to legal accountability.
