Sharjah cracks down against illegals in residential and commercial areas

Sharjah Police’s Criminal Investment Department arrested 38 people since the beginning of May for overstaying in the emirate and those who ran away from their sponsors.

All the men were taken into custody while they’re engaged in illegal activities such as car wash, beggary, street vending or selling mobile credit to passers-by in addition other works.

Colonel Ibrahim Al Ajil, Director of Criminal Investigation Department, said campaign would continue against all offenders in industrial, commercial and residential areas of the emirate.

He urged public members to cooperate by reporting any illegal activity in their areas to security agencies.

Colonel Ibrahim said the residents can directly contact the Central Operations Room of Sharjah Police by dialing toll free number 901 or 065 632 222.
