Sharjah drug bust: Pills worth Dh1.2 million

Sharjah Police arrested two drug dealers with pills worth Dh1.2 million.

The Drugs Combating Section of Sharjah Police, foiled plans of a GCC drug dealer and his Asian accomplice to sell drugs to youth in the country.

Police acted on a tip-off received alerting them about the dealer who was planning to sell it to young drug addicts. A security team was immediately formed  and a probe launched, which resulted in the arrest of the GCC national, who had 60 pills in his possession.

He confessed to police that he had bought the pills from an Asian and led them to him. Upon raiding his residence, police seized 62,766 capsules that were hidden in different areas in his house. The market value of the confiscated pills are worth Dh1.2m, according to police.

Both the suspects have been referred to Public Prosecution.

Sharjah Police urged public not to be lured by drug traffickers and to report them to cops.
