Sharjah Police arrests 6,698 persons

Sharjah Police have arrested 6,698 in the first five months of this year, across nationalities in various areas of the emirate.

Lieutenant Salim H, said: "The campaign saw the arrest of 4046 males and 1,652 females.

“Arrests included beggars, street vendors, those fleeing from the sponsor and 80 people wanted by security agencies.”

He called on the public to report violators before Ramadan by calling 800 151, or the non-emergency number 901.
