Sharjah Police nab 3 sailors in major drug haul

Three sailors were arrested for attempted smuggling of 79kg of drugs through Port Khalid.

The Anti-Narcotics Department of Sharjah Police in cooperation with Dubai Police nabbed the three Asians for possessing 57kg of hashish, 8.62kg of opium and 12.2kg of methamphetamine, which they intended to distribute in the Gulf nations.

The inspectors were alerted bythe suspicious movements of the sailors as their boat was anchored.

Two suspects confessed to collaborating with the third suspect in distributing the drugs.
