Sharjah street gamblers caught in the act

Sharjah Police have arrested four people for street gambling.

The two Pakistanis and Bangladeshis were caught red-handed  at their gambling table in Ghuwair area of the emirate, busy in their illicit activity.

The CID team of Sharjah Police set about their investigations following a reliable tip-off.

When police arrived at the said site, the suspects had no clue they were being trapped.

Police said the four have confessed to the charges.

Sharjah Police has stressed that it will not tolerate any illegal practices nor spare those who undertake such activities.

Officials called on residents to be alet and inform police upon spotting any such activities in their neighbourhood.

They will be shortly referred to the Public Prosecution.
