Shoe costs man one month in jail

An Asian man went into a shoe shop in Ras Al Khaimah apparently with intent to steal new shoes for himself without thinking of the hidden security cameras.

Once he found the suitable pair, he simply put them on, left his old torn shoes in the store, and walked out happily. But his joy was shortlived.

“A while after he left the store, the man was arrested by the police who were supplied with pictures of him by the shoe store,” Alkhaeej daily said, adding that a RAK court sentenced the unnamed thief to one month in prison.
