Technician gropes maid at employer's house

An Etisalat technician allegedly molested a Filipina maid while he was doing a repairing work at her employer’s house, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

MW, 32, Bangladeshi, was assigned to carry out repair work in the houses. The 26-year-old, AM, Filipina maid accompanied the technician to the first floor and showed him where the breakdown was.

“While I was guiding him to where the place, he touched my lower back; I thought it was accidently so I did not shout at him,” the maid said.

When he was about to leave, MW came close to the maid and showed her on his mobile her employer’s number.

“While he was showing me the number on his mobile he groped me. I shouted at him but that did not refrained him from repeating that with his left finger,” said the victim.

Police arrested MW and the maid recognised him when shown to her during identification parade.

The court will give verdict on March 7.
