A woman complainant, who admitted to offering sex against money to men including a man about whom she complained of robbing her, was sentenced to three years in jail by a court in Dubai.
 
The Dubai Criminal Court also sentenced the Afghan thief, AM, 27, who was also her client, to one year in jail for robbery and another one year for consensual sex and ordered to pay Dh3,000 for entering a property against its owner’s will.
 
The two convicts were ordered to be deported after serving their jail terms.
 
According to the records, on July 23, KT, 23, visitor from Tajikistan, complained to the police that a man entered her flat in Fareej Al Marrar against her will and robbed her belongings after beating her up.
 
Police investigated the complaint and arrested AM, 27, Afghan, plumber.
 
The woman complained that on July 19 at around 3.30pm she opened the flat’s door to go out.
 
“I was surprised when I saw a man standing at my door step, so I tried to close the door but he forced himself in and closed the door behind him.
 
He pushed and beat me up and pulled my hair. He then broke my iPhone 6 and stole my bag which contained another mobile phone and Dh2,700 in cash in addition to my passport and air ticket. When I shouted and screamed, he ran away,” said the woman.
 
AM admitted destroying a smart phone of the complainant and taking her bag but he claimed that he did not intend to steal it. He also admitted to having consensual sex with her.
 
Confronting the complainant about the consensual sex claim made by the accused, the woman admitted to offering sex to men against money including the plumber.
 
She admitted that she accepted to offer him sex against him sending money to her mother in Tajikistan.
 
The sentences were appealed and the Court of Appeal will hear the case on November 1.
