Thief impersonated cop, looted people

A man who posed as a police official to rob people has been arrested by Sharjah Police.

The suspect allegedly even used a fake ID card that he showed victims to gain their trust.

His modus operandi involved approaching the victim and introducing himself as a police official by showing them his fake ID.

He would then ask them to go along with him. And he would drive them to an isolated place and loot them.

Sharjah Police along with the help of Ajman Police nabbed the suspect in Ajman following several complaints.

Police urge residents to ascertain the identity of people they deal with before trusting them.
