Three jobless acquitted of theft attempt

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance has acquitted three jobless Pakistanis from charges of breaking into a car spare parts company.

MNJ, 26, FKR, 25, and ZBB, 32, were accused by the prosecution for theft attempt.

The three were charged for robbery attempt from a general trading company from where they could not not find anything to steal. They had earlier been convicted guilty and were sentenced to one year in jail and deportation for robbing the general trading company. They also had criminal records in similar thefts and had been sentenced in other theft cases, prosecution noted.

According to the records of the theft attempt, Nihad Ahmad, 28, Indian, partner testified that on March 22, 2010, he noticed that the front glass was broken of his Al Amani Spare Parts company at Al Ramoul area. Checking the shop, he did not find anything missing.

Police were rushed to the area to investigate another theft committed in Al Amani general Trading.

Police reached to the three accused who confessed to breaking into the two shops. They confessed that they broke into the spare parts shop, but did not find any cash to steal; but they broke into the general trading shop and robbed it.
