The Anti-Narcotics Department of Dubai Police has arrested two Emiratis in the emirate’s Al Quoz area for drug smuggling.

They were also charged with promoting drugs among the youth in the residential areas of the city.

AAH, 39, single and unemployed, has been accused of promoting narcotics among schoolchildren. He took evening classes and hung around after classes to sell drugs.

Major General Abdul Jalil Alasmoa, director-general of the department, said another Emirati AED, 32, single, employed, was also arrested.
AAH tried to escape and to get rid of the heroin in his possession but was caught by the police.

The second suspected was arrested the next day in his office.
