Two jailed for one year for robbery
Two Pakistanis, who threatened a resident in her flat with a gun and robbed her belongings, were sentenced by the Dubai Criminal Court to one year in jail for robbery and forcibly entering other’s property.
A third compatriot was sentenced to three months for possessing stolen items.
The three, identified as ZRZ, 25, MSM, 30, electrician and MAA, 42, businessman, were ordered to be deported after serving their jail terms.
According to the records, the victim, CG, 35, Pakistani, testified that after her brothers left the house she moved to close the door behind them.
“All of a sudden, a man pushed the door and entered the house. He was wearing a mask on his face and wearing UAE national dress. He threatened me with a small gun and asked me to sit quietly in the hall. Another man wearing the same dress entered the house and the two went to the bed room, took laptops and three mobile phones and a purse that contained Dh500 and ran away. Then I called the police,” she testified.
Police arrested the suspects who confessed to their crime.
