Two Emiratis are on trial in Fujairah on charges of abducting another local man and trying to kill him with an axe, newspapers reported on Thursday.

Police in the eastern emirate had arrested the two after investigation showed they kidnapped the victim to Fujairah Corniche and tried to kill him.

The two were tried on Wednesday but the judge adjourned hearings to Sept 16 for statements by the victim.
