Two Asians allegedly forged 17 visas and conned a manager for Dh97,400 by claiming that the documents were genuine, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

FKS, 33, Indian salesman, and NMD, 34, Pakistani driver, are accused of forging the visas and selling them to Abdulrahman Shah for Dh97,400.

The victim, a project manager, testified that he knew the accused via a person called Zahed who advised him on people who issued visas. He met NMD who guided him to FKS who issued work visas for 17 Pakistanis and sent them to him by e-mail after he paid Dh97,400 as cost of visas, air tickets and other expenses.

“The visas had been issued on the sponsorship of a company called Prime for Guarding Services. I checked with the company and found out that they are unaware about the visas. I also checked with DNRD who said the visas were forged,” he testified.

Sergeant Mohammed Abdullah testified that the victim complained to the police and that the victim had asked the accused for 17 visas against Dh5,000 per visa. He sent the accused photos of 17 people by email. Later, the accused asked the victim to transfer Dh97,400 to an account of someone called Tika in a bank in Pakistan. Then the latter sent the victim the visas which were proved to be forged.

The court adjourned the case until April 16.
