Visitor attempts to hug woman in hotel lift

A 45-year-old visitor allegedly attempted to hug a woman in the lift of a hotel but she pushed him away and got out of the lift.

The woman informed the hotel security who caught the man and kept him until police arrived.

DK, Indian, denied the accusation and told the police that he had only asked the woman about his room number.

The victim told police that the accused entered the lift after her and started asking her about her nationality and then tried to hug her but she had pushed him away and got out of the lift.

Footage of the lift camera showed the man putting his arm around the woman but she pushed him away and exited the lift. The man was then seen entering a room.

The Court will issue its sentence on March 16.
