SS, a 20-year-old Indian waiter, allegedly kissed and groped a four-year old girl in the restaurant where he worked, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The girl’s mother complained to the police after her daughter told her that the accused had kissed her on her lips and groped her private parts.

“I went to a restaurant in Bur Dubai on August 12. When we came out of the restaurant, my daughter told me that the waiter had asked her to sit on his lap, groped her private parts and kissed her on her lips,” the mother told First Lieutenant Fasal Abdul Kareem.

The mother recognised the accused when shown to her via at an identification parade.

The Court will give its verdict on October 29.
