Water man turns to be water thief

A Pakistani water bottle distributor paid a heavy price after he could not resist the temptation of having a handful of extra pennies when he stole 100 bottles. The man was sentenced to two months in jail and ordered deported from the UAE.

Employers had accused the driver of stealing 100 bottles of water and selling them but he insisted on taking only 10 bottles.

The court in Dhafra in Abu Dhabi’s western region found him guilty of “embezzlement” and sentenced him, Alkhaleej newspaper said.
