When women fight, cats disappear...

Two Arab women who had a fight with another Arab lady took it on her cat by sneaking into her house in Fujeirah and stealing the feline.

The victim had first told police that her adversaries had stolen a gold chain but later changed her statement to cat theft.

After they were convicted of stealing the cat, a court in the eastern emirate fined them Dh1,000.

But they appealed the sentenced and got a reduction to Dh500, the Arabic language daily Alittihad reported.
