Woman gets gang rape threat on WhatsApp

An 18-year-old Emirati boy allegedly sent a WhatsApp message to a woman, threatening to gang rape her, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
 
The victim YF, 21, Emirati, received a message on WhatsApp from the mobile number of HS who threatened to bring a group of men to gang rape her.

The woman lodged a complaint with the police who arrested the accused.

The prosecution supplied the court with a copy of the message.

Records did not mention why the accused did that.

The court will reconvene on February 16.
