Women beat up man in hotel, rob Dh20,000

A Nigerian woman along with other women allegedly dragged a Pakistani businessman into a Dubai hotel room, beat him up with their fists and, holding his hands tightly behind him, took Dh20,000 from his pocket.

On October 13, the victim IS, 28, businessman, went to a hotel in Down Town Dubai after he was told by an African man about a woman who wanted to rent a bus from him.

“I went up to her hotel room and as I entered the suite, the woman who opened the door dragged me by my clothes and pushed me to the chair. A group of women came out from the other room and beat me up with their fists. They held my hands tightly behind me and one of them took Dh20,000 from my pocket. The women then ran away from the room. I managed to get my hands released and inform the police,” testified the victim.

Police investigated the complaint and arrested the woman who had rented the room.

OM, 29, admitted to the crime.

The Court will issue its sentence on December 25.
