Work-mate killer sentenced to death in Fujairah

A criminal court in Fujairah sentenced an Asian construction worker to death after he was convicted of murdering his work mate.

The court was told that the two workers had a heated argument, which developed into a fist fight at the construction site in the emirate in 2010.

“The defendant pushed his colleague during the fight, causing him to fall down from the top of the building,” 'AI Ittihad' daily said.

“The victim died just before arrival in hospital while the defendant confessed to having a fight but said he did not mean to commit a murder,” the paper added without identifying the two.
