Worker's stomach held 110 capsules of heroin

A Pakistani worker allegedly tried to smuggle into the UAE 110 capsules containing 795grammes of heroin concealed in his digestive organ, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

Inspection officer Ibrahim Al Marzouqi suspected passenger AJ when he arrived at Dubai International Airport.

“Checking his luggage, we did not find any banned item. However, strange substances were detected in his body. When confronted, he admitted to carrying 100 capsules containing drugs in his digestive organ,” the officer told investigators.

The 31-year-old worker was referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department and in the hospital he released 110 capsules that contained a total of 795.58grammes of heroin.

The court will give its sentence on October 30.
