Man kills maid, claims it was suicide

A furious man hit his Asian housemaid with a hammer on her head then hung her, thinking she was already dead, a newspaper reported on Monday.

The maid only fell unconscious after receiving the blow, but the man decided to hang her to fake her death as a suicide to avert the police.

“He wrapped a rope round her neck and hanged her by the ceiling in his home.

"He then called the police to tell them that his maid committed a suicide,” 'Al Ittihad' daily said.

“But the coroner discovered that she had been hit on the head before she was hanged. The man later confessed to the crime.”
