12-year-old boy kills neighbour

Kuwaiti police arrested a 12-year-old local boy after using a knife to murder his 16-year-old neighbour following an argument in the Gulf emirate.

The victim, also a Kuwait, had been rushed to hospital with a stab wound in the chest but doctors failed to save his life.

Police suspected a 12-year-old boy or murdering his neighbour after his father reported that he had gone missing.

“Police later arrested the killer, who does not exceed 12 years old,” the Kuwaiti Arabic language daily Alanba said.

“He told them that the victim was throwing stones at him and refused to stop…he then went into his house, brought a knife and stabbed him, saying he did not mean to kill him but to stop him from throwing stones.”
