129 arrested at mixed-gender party in Saudi
Saudi police arrested 129 Africans at a mixed-gender booze party at a house in the Gulf Kingdom and a local newspaper said they would all stand trial.
Police raided the house in the Southern Jazan province and rounded up the guests, including 41 women from various African nationalities.
'Ajel' daily said police stormed the house after receiving a tip-off about the booze party, adding that a large quantity of liquor was also seized.
Liquor and gender-mixing are banned in Saudi Arabia, one of the most conservative Muslim nations.
