13-year-old hangs self by computer cable

Colombo: Body of a 13-year-old schoolboy, who allegedly committed suicide, was discovered in Giranegama area under the Galkiriyagama police division, ‘Hiru Gossip’ reported.

The victim studied in a school in Galewela and used to stay in the hostel. He had often expressed his dislike about staying in hostel.

When the hostel inmates went to his room, they saw the body hanging from the room's window by a computer cable.

Although, some problem at the hostel was suspected to be the reason of his death, no evidence has been recovered to support the claim.

The body has been sent to Anuradhapura hospital for the postmortem after the magisterial inquiry conducted by Kekirawa Magistrate Dulan de Silva.
