4 university girls held in Saudi for prostitution

Saudi Arabia’s feared religious police arrested four female university students for indulging in vice and drinking alcohol, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice had watched a suspected apartment in the capital Riyadh for a few days before deciding to storm it, the Arabic language daily Ajel said.

It said four female students from Riyadh university and six men were arrested while a large amount of liquor was found in the flat.

“They were all drunk…they used the flat for booze nights and practicing vice,” the paper said without identifying those arrested.
