Artist abuses his wife’s 11-year-old student

Colombo: A 65-year-old father of two, an artist, has been remanded to police custody for allegedly molesting an 11-year-old schoolgirl.

The Grade 6 youngster who is a student of the suspect’s wife, also an art teacher, had gone to his home for classes, reported ‘Lankadeepa’.

On that fateful day, the suspect’s wife was not at home and the girl was not aware that her teacher was unavailable.

The victim is receiving treatment, while investigations continue.
