Baby drowns in washing water bucket

A nine-month-old Saudi girl died after drowning in a washing water bucket while her mother was praying at home in the Gulf kingdom, newspapers reported on Monday.

The mother has just gone to pray in her room when the baby crawled and climbed up the bucket in the bathroom before falling into it.

Relatives rushed the bay to hospital in the Northwestern town of Duba but doctors failed to save her life, they said.
