Crime file: Man gets drunk and murders wife

A Saudi man returned home from a booze night, went to the kitchen and stabbed his sleeping wife to death although she is a mother of three.

Police said the 38-year-old man confessed to stabbing his wife in the chest and the back, adding that he was under the influence of alcohol when arrested.

Okaz newspaper said police were investigating the man to know his motives for the murder at their house in the western town of Madina.

Saudi Arabia’s feared Islamic police smashed a prostitution ring led by a Saudi woman at a “de luxe” house in the Gulf Kingdom.

Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice had watched the house in the eastern town of Khobar for several days before deciding to storm it, Kabar newspaper said.

“They raided the De Luxe house and arrested a 40-year-old Saudi pimp….other women and Asian drivers hired by her were also arrested.”
