Dad shot to death while asleep by teen son

A 16-year-old Saudi boy waited for his father to go to bed and killed him by the old man’s own gun while asleep, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The father, in his late 50s, died instantly while his son turned himself over to the police in the Western Saudi town of Medina, Okaz Arabic language daily said.

It quoted police spokesman Colonel Fahd Al Ghannam as saying the boy is being questioned on his motives for committing the murder.
