Fire destroys room except copy of Quran

A house fire destroyed the contents of a room in Kuwait but a copy of the Quran emerged intact, a newspaper in the oil-rich Gulf emirate reported on Thursday.
 
‘Al Anba’ said civil defence men battling the blaze were shocked to see that the only item, which was not destroyed by the fire in the room was a copy of the Quran.
 
“All items in the room were burned and destroyed except the copy of the holy Quran, which emerged to be almost intact,” the paper said, quoting a civil defence spokesman.
