Girl-friend files rape case after lover dodges wedding vow

KUWAIT CITY: A promise to marry backfired on an unidentified man in Kuwait, after the women he was ‘dating’ filed a police compliant that alleging that he attempted to rape her.

The Kuwait Police, according to the Al-Rai daily, have acted on the complaint and have launched a man-hunt for the accused who is yet to be arrested.

According to the girl’s complaint she entered into a physical and emotional relationship with the man after he promised that he would marry her.

However, she says, every time the topic of marriage came up, he would avoid it.

The specific complaint to the police alleges an attempt to rape her, from which she escaped and filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station.

When police called the suspect on his cell phone, there was no answer.
