India shocker: Wife beheads husband

Chennai: A young woman beheaded her husband, unable to bear his harassment, and then surrendered to police.

The 21-year-old woman, is the second wife of the deceased, reported Times of India.

An autorikshaw driver in Tamil Nadu, the 28-year-old man was already married to another woman with whom he also had two children, when he wed the suspect.

The two women were cordial with each other but were tired of his incessant quarrels and beatings that they decided to return to their parents.

He then visited the second wife and forced her to part with money. She sprinkled chilli powder on his face. When he collapsed on the floor, she picked up a sickle, and beheaded him. Then surrendered at the nearby police station with the blood-soaked weapon.

He has a record of being involved in anti-social activities.

 

Thief yanks woman off train 

Mumbai - A 43-year-old woman who was returning home from work in Mumbai died after she fell off a moving train.

She was standing on the footboard when the 32-year-old suspect caught her bag with a hooked stick and attempted to snatch it.

The woman fell off the moving train with the force of his pull, her head hitting an electric pole, reported MidDay.

Her friends got off at the next station and rushed to the site and found her lying by the tracks.

Her bag and jewellery were missing.

They shifted her to hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries three days later.

The suspect has been arrested from his home state, Madhya Pradesh, where he was hiding at his relative’s place.
 

India-born man offered himself hostage…

An Indian-origin Briton, who was among those killed in the terror attack on a mall in Kenya last week, had offered himself as hostage to save a group of children.

Thirty-eight-year-old London-born Mitul Shah tried to negotiate with the terrorists to save 33 children taking part in a TV cooking competition that his company was sponsoring on the roof of the shopping mall, The Evening Standard reported.

Though he failed to convince the attackers, it is believed his negotiations gave victims some time to flee and hide, reported NDTV.

Shah, a father of two-year-old girl, was a marketing executive at Bidco Oil.
 

 

Man kidnaps stepson to remarry ex-wife

A 27-year-old man kidnapped his step-son to remarry his former wife in Mumbai.

Imran had married Zareena in 2009 and they parted ways two years later.

MidDay quotes police sources as saying the woman was already married once before in 2007. A relationship which also ended in two-year’ time.

However, Imran was not willing to let go off her.

He pestered her to rejoin him, which she refused.

As a last-ditch effort, he kidnapped her son and threatened to harm him if she refused his proposal.

Finally, he gave up and dropped the child back at her home.

Police claim he is a drug addict and has been taken into custody.
