'Insects' shut school for two days in Saudi

Saudi education authorities ordered a girls’ school shut for two days after receiving a report that it was infested with insects, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The education department in the Southern Jazan province decided to shut the primary school to ensure the girls’ safety and ordered spraying of the building, Ajel said.

“Operators of the school recommended closure for two days after they noticed it was infested with insects,” the paper said.
