Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested a “well-known” journalist for molesting a handicapped girl, his second victim this year, a newspaper said on Monday.
The girl had informed members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice about the journalist’s advances under the excuse he wants to interview her for his newspaper.
“They asked her to agree to meet him…when they met, he tried to molest her but the commission members were on him,” Sharq daily said.
The paper did not identify the journalist but said he works for a Saudi Arabic language newspaper. It said he had already been caught trying to molest an orphaned girl under the excuse of interviewing her.
