Maid tries to cut child’s throat in Saudi

An Ethiopian housemaid used a kitchen knife to cut the throat of her employer’s seven-year-old son but the boy survived, a newspaper reported on Friday.

The boy suffered from serious injuries and was rushed to hospital in the southern Asir province after the maid attacked him in his bedroom.

The boy’s father grabbed the maid and phoned the police, who arrested her for questioning on the motives of the attempted murder.
