Maid tries to kills employer with cleaver

A 28-year-old Ethiopian housemaid stabbed her aging female Kuwaiti employer many times in the head with a cleaver in a bid to kill her but the woman survived.

Doctors said the woman suffered from stab wounds in the head and neck but was saved and admitted to the intensive care unit at the hospital in Kuwait City.

Newspapers said the maid attacked her employer with a cleaver following an argument at her house in the Kuwaiti capital.

“She tried to kill her and fled…police later arrested her on charges of attempted murder,” the Arabic language daily Al Anba said.
