Man beheaded by sisters no drug addict: Brother

Five Saudi sisters aged below 22 years waited for their half brother to sleep, stormed into his room with axes and knives and stabbed him to death before slashing his head off his body.

The girls told police they had killed their 18-year-old brother because he was a drug addict who had molested them but his elder brother rebuffed their claims, saying they were all mentally ill.

The victim, their brother from their mother, had come to visit his mother in the northern Saudi town of Hafr Al Batin and decided to spend the night before heading back to his home in the central city of Buraidah.

Fearing an attack by his sisters following arguments and fights in the past, the brother decided to sleep in the upper floor and locked his bedroom.

“He knew that he could be attacked as our sisters had threatened him more than once….once he was in the bedroom in the upper floor, they went up and stormed into the room with knives and axes….they were on him and gave him no chance to wake up and defend himself,” his brother told Sabq Arabic language daily.

“What they said about his drug addiction is a mere lie…they all are suffering from psychological problems because of the difficult family conditions in the past…one of them was forced to marry an aging man when she was only 12 years old…her husband died a year later and she has been left without husband eversince.”

The brother, who was not named, said the murder followed a fight between his brother and one sister, who hit him with a heavy metal bar on the head after he punched her on the eye. He said his brother was admitted to hospital for nearly two months because of brain injury.

“Claims by my elder sister that my brother was molesting them are also lies…he was a decent man and I believe my sisters told police such lies to justify their murder and their tendency for violence,” he said.

Sabq said police were still questioning the five sisters following their arrest two days after the murder last week.
